1Breadcrumb has the functionality to create follow-up questions when a user responds to a question in a particular way
This is a useful feature that helps you gather certain information when a particular answer may not meet your requirements
For example:
Question: Do you have a Medical Condition that may affect your ability to work?
If the person answers 'No,' they can continue filling out the Induction/Permit/Form without a follow-up question.
However, if the person answers 'Yes' you can ask them a follow-up question like, 'Could you please share some details about your Medical Condition that might impact your ability to work?'
This guide will walk you through the process of generating follow-up questions.

Web Portal Instructions
Step 1
Navigate to Editor > Questions. Your list of questions will appear.
Step 2
Scroll through the selection, or use the search bar to locate the desired question you wish to be set up as a follow question to another.
Step 3
Once found, select the Display Conditions button
Step 4
In the pop up window, select the If Question
The If Question will be the primary question that the follow-up question appears from if conditions are met.
Once the If Question has been selected, the Was Answered fields will appear. Select the answer that you want to trigger the follow-up
💡The fields that appear for Was Answered can be edited if needed. See this article on how to edit questions (Link to Edit Question Sets)
💡Only questions with the Question Type of Yes/No, Single Select and Multi Select can be used to trigger a follow up question
Step 5
Once the If Question and Was Answered fields are selected, select the blue Add Condition button to create the condition
Your follow-up question will now be attached to the question sets according to your chosen settings.
💡For the display question to appear correctly, the Primary and Follow-Up question will need to be added onto the same form. It would also be best practise to re-organise the question list structure so that the Follow-Up is directly below the Primary.
