Manual Check-In via QR Code

Manual check-in via QR Code involves using the Mobile App (recommended) or web browser version of the app to scan a QR Code designated to your site to check-in and complete your inductions.

Instructions:

  • Download and open the 1Breadcrumb App on your mobile device
  • Select the Scan QR Code button from the Profile screen
    • If you do not have the app, simply scan the QR code using your camera
  • Using your camera, scan the QR Code displayed on-site
  • Select what Visitor type you are and which Supplier you work for
  • Follow the prompts to complete your Inductions until you can select Check-In

Manual Check-In via Location Services

Manual Check-In via Location Services involves using the Mobile App (required) and your Location Services to let you check-in to a public site if you are within the geofence boundary of that site. This removes the need to scan the QR Code.

Note: Geofencing is not recommended in the UK and Ireland because of several factors outside of our control which may cause incorrect reporting. For example, in highly populated areas, geofencing is often inaccurate due to signal interference.

Instructions:

  • Download and open the 1Breadcrumb App on your mobile device
  • Select the Check-In button from the Profile screen
  • Once you are within the geofence parameters of your site, it will show in the list below
  • Once you can see your site, tap Confirm to check-in
  • Select what Visitor type you are and which Supplier you work for
  • Follow the prompts to complete your Inductions until you can select Check-In

Automated Check-In via Location Services involves using the Mobile App (required) and your Location Services to automatically check-in to a public site if you are within the geofence boundary of that site and stay there for a set period of time (default 20 minutes). This removes the need to scan the QR Code.

Instructions:

  • In most cases, Automated Check-In via Location Services will only work after you have already completed one check-in via the QR Code
  • After this, you can automatically check-in to site using your Location Services
