How Autodesk Project Members Sync to Breadcrumb Site Hosts
When a member is added to an Autodesk Construction Cloud project and assigned a role that has been synced to Breadcrumb, that user will automatically sync to Breadcrumb as a Site Host.
Site Hosts in Breadcrumb are responsible for managing workers, documents, and site activities.
How the Member Sync Works
The synchronization follows this process:
- A role is created in Autodesk that meets the sync requirements.
- The role syncs to Breadcrumb.
- A member is added to a project in Autodesk.
- The member is assigned to the synced role.
- The member will automatically appear in Breadcrumb as a Site Host.
This allows Autodesk user management to control which individuals can manage site operations in Breadcrumb.
Step 1 — Add the Member to the Project
- Open the Autodesk project.
- Navigate to Project Admin.
- Select Members.
- Click Add members.
- Select the user you want to add to the project.
Step 2 — Assign the Synced Role
When adding or editing the project member:
- Assign the user a role that has synced to Breadcrumb.
- Save the changes.
Once assigned, the user will automatically sync to Breadcrumb as a Site Host.
Step 3 — Configure Permissions in Breadcrumb
To ensure the Site Host has the correct level of access within Breadcrumb:
- Navigate to Permissions Templates in Breadcrumb.
- Create a permissions template for the corresponding role.
- Assign the appropriate permissions required for that role.
This ensures that each role has the correct access rights within Breadcrumb.
Important Notes
- Only roles that have synced from Autodesk to Breadcrumb can create Site Hosts.
- Members assigned to non-synced roles will not appear in Breadcrumb.
- Permissions must be configured using Breadcrumb permission templates to control what Site Hosts can access.
