Understanding the Attendance Register

Overview

The Attendance register provides a comprehensive, real-time view of who's currently on-site and complete historical attendance records for all workers. This tool is essential for safety management, compliance tracking, and workforce oversight across your construction projects.

Requirements 🔑

Permissions: Company or Site Host Permissions required. If you do not have access, please contact your 1Breadcrumb administrator.

Find the Live Attendance Report

  • Start by clicking on Registers from the left-hand menu
  • From the dropdown, select Attendance

Key Features and Information

Real-Time Site Status

  • "On site" Counter: The top indicator shows how many people are currently on-site (displayed as "On site 4" in the example)
  • Live Updates: The register updates in real-time as workers sign in and out
  • Current Status: Quickly identify who is presently on your job sites

Attendance Record Details

Each attendance entry displays:

  • Worker Name: Individual worker identification with profile photo
  • Company: The subcontractor company the worker represents
  • Visitor Type: Classification of the person (Sub Contractor, Visitor, Employee, etc.)
  • Site Location: Specific job site address
  • Sign In Time: Exact timestamp when the worker arrived on-site
  • Sign Out Time: Timestamp when the worker left (shows "---" if still on-site)
  • Duration on Site: Total time spent on-site for completed visits

Understanding Attendance Status

Active On-Site Workers

Workers currently on-site will show:

  • Sign In Time: When they arrived
  • Sign Out Time: Shows "---" (indicating they haven't signed out yet)
  • Duration: Shows current elapsed time (e.g., "1:46 hrs", "2:17 hrs")

Completed Visits

Workers who have signed out will show:

  • Sign In Time: Arrival timestamp
  • Sign Out Time: Departure timestamp
  • Duration: Total time spent on-site (e.g., "0:22 hrs", "0:06 hrs")

Search and Filter Options

Available Filters

  • Search Bar: Find specific workers by name
  • Date Filter: View attendance for specific dates or date ranges
  • Company Filter: See attendance records for specific subcontractors
  • Site Filter: Focus on specific job site locations
  • Visitor Type Filter: Filter by worker classification (Sub Contractor, Employee, Visitor)

Using Filters Effectively

  • Combine Filters: Use multiple filters simultaneously for precise results
  • Date Ranges: Review attendance patterns over specific time periods
  • Company-Specific Views: Monitor individual subcontractor attendance
  • Site-Specific Tracking: Focus on single location attendance

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Missing Sign-Out Times

  • Worker Still On-Site: If sign-out shows "---", the worker hasn't left yet
  • Forgotten Sign-Out: Follow up with workers showing extended durations
  • System Issues: Contact support if sign-out data appears incorrect

Duplicate Entries

  • Same-Day Entries: Normal for workers who leave and return the same day
  • Verification Needed: Cross-check with actual site presence when in doubt

Filter Not Working

  • Clear Filters: Reset all filters and try again
  • Date Range Issues: Ensure date ranges include the data you're looking for
  • Permission Problems: Verify you have access to the sites/companies you're filtering
