A guide to understanding the "New Login" email notification that Host Users receive when logging in.
1Breadcrumb uses email notifications to alert Host Users when their account has been accessed on a new device. This article explains why you receive this notification, how our automatic log-out policy works, and how you can avoid receiving this notification.
Why does this happen?
For security reasons, 1Breadcrumb's Automatic Logout Policy will notify you whenever the Web Portal is accessed using your account credentials from a new device or IP address. This is to keep you informed of any unusual login activity using your account.
Automatic Logout Policy
The Automatic Logout Policy will be activated if:
- You are inactive for over an hour
- You have a dynamic IP address on your device
How do I avoid it?
You can avoid the Automatic Logout Policy by ticking the "Remember Me" tickbox the next time you try to login to the 1Breadcrumb Web Portal.
This option is only recommended if you are using 1Breadcrumb on a private device.
If you are accessing 1Breadcrumb on a public device (shared with others), this option is not recommended (to avoid other people accessing your account).
