      Form Autosave in Mobile app

      This guide will walk you through how the autosave function works for completing forms in the mobile app (e.g. inductions)

      The Autosave feature in the mobile app allows users to recover their form progress in case of unexpected interruptions, such as exiting the form, losing connectivity, or even closing the app. This ensures that users can resume their work without losing any data entered before the disruption.

      Requirements

      • This feature only works if they are filling out the form via the mobile app.
      • This feature requires the latest version of the app.

      Note: The autosave feature is time-based. 

          • Autosave occurs every approximately every 10 seconds.
          • Currently Autosave only saves for 12 hours. After this period, any unsaved draft data will be automatically cleared.
          • Video progress is saved every second for that day. Allows you to continue your video from the last saved position.

      Mobile App Instructions📱

      Steps via Mobile app: 

      • Ensure App is Updated: Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.
      • Filling out the Form: Start filling out your form as usual.
      • Interruption Occurs: If the app closes or loses connectivity, your responses will be saved automatically.
      • Reopen the App: Open the app again after the interruption.
      • Recovery Pop-Up: Upon reopening the app, a pop-up will appear, asking if you would like to load your previously saved form data. Simply select "Yes" to continue from where you left off.

      Troubleshooting:

      • No Recovery Pop-Up: If the pop-up doesn’t appear, verify that:

        • The 1Breadcrumb mobile app is up-to-date and the latest version.
        • Your form was within the 12 hour Autosave window.
        • You are using the same device where the form was initially started.

      • Data Not Saving: If you notice the Autosave feature is not working, check if your device's storage or cache is full, as this might prevent data from being stored locally.

      Viewing in app videos: 

      • Saves video progress: Automatically resumes where the user left off, making it easy to continue watching from where you left off. 

      • Saves text and answers: Ensures any entered text or answers are saved, allowing users to resume without re-entering information.
