All new Improvements and Bug Fixes released in July 2025.
New Features 🆕
Ability to schedule Site Briefings (Pre-Starts/Toolbox Talks) in advance
New setting available on Site Briefings “Allow Scheduling” will now enable the ability to schedule a Site Briefing to start being active at a certain time/date in the future. If a site briefing is made with this, up until that time/date has come, it will be saved as a draft and allow for any edits until it's live.
View Announcements added to Forms/Inductions in the PDF Report
If an announcement is attached to an induction or form, there is now a clear section listed in the PDF report, and if the announcement can be displayed, it will be. If the announcement was a video, it will only display the title of the video.
Upload Supplier Documents from the "Profile" section of the Mobile App
Workers/users without Host Access or Permissions can now upload Supplier Documents for their selected individual Supplier (e.g. SWMS, SDS, etc.).
Minor Improvements 🔨
Ability to hide Plant and Equipment features in a 1Breadcrumb account based on the customer's subscription (Plan Management)
If the Company Plan doesn’t include Plant or Asset, it hides all the Asset-related fields in the Web Portal and Mobile App.
The "My Wallet" feature has been hidden from the Profile Screen
The “My Wallet” tile caused confusion to workers about what licences a Head contractor had access to, and where, as a 1BC user, they could change that. My Wallet is now only available in the “Edit Profile” screen by selecting the profile picture in the top right. This update has been made as we await the release of the new "edit induction" tool.
Improved the confusing UI when saving Site Briefings as Drafts
When a Site Briefing has previously been saved as a draft, and you come back to edit the draft, the button is now clearly titled “Edit Draft” instead of “Submit New Version”.
Add "Validity Period" under Site Briefings in the Mobile App
We have moved the “Valid Until” feature to the top of the screen in the mobile app when viewing details, so that it is easier to find.
Job Numbers in Procore now pull over to the Mobile App
The Site Reference/Project Number from Procore now displays in the site selection on the app, and also shows when entering the Site Reference/Project Number in the search bar.
Two Stage Approval Improvements
Improvements were made to the use of a two-stage approval for supplier documents:
- Both Review Forms are now included in the final PDF
- Notifications to both users are clearer when the document is ready for approval
- You can now view the history of a supplier document, or the Workflows report, to see what stage of approval the document is currently in
Two-Way Supplier Sync to Procore
Once enabled, the Procore integration will now allow for suppliers to sync into Procore from 1Breadcrumb, if a Licence number has been provided (ABN numbers will be included soon).
New setting for Biostar Access Control to restrict entry conditions for checked-in users
We have introduced a new site setting so that if enabled, any entry conditions will not be enforced on users who are already checked in, preventing users from getting denied when they scan their face on exit. Entry conditions including standard induction, RAMS/SWMS, site briefing.
Rejected Permits now appear in the Supplier Onboarding Screen
When viewing a Supplier's Permits in the Sites > Supplier > View Permits section of the web portal, rejected permits will now appear in the list.
US Localisation Improvements
If a company's timezone is set in the United States, 1Breadcrumb will change the main areas of the system to display "Orientation" instead of "Induction".
If phone setting has localisation set to US and uses a company set to US dictionary, it will also display "Orientation" on the app instead of Induction in relevant places.
Renamed Australian Server to Oceania Server
The wording on the login screen has been changed to 'Oceania' when selecting the server, providing a more accurate representation for New Zealand workers and others in surrounding islands.
Country Code will default to (+64) when logging in from New Zealand
The "Country Code" was incorrectly defaulting to (+61) when creating a new account or logging in from New Zealand. Now, when creating a new account from New Zealand via the mobile app, it will default to the (+64) prefix correctly.
Removed the ability to access Manage Site Settings by clicking on a Site Name
When selecting the name of a site, it also took you to the “Manage Site” button destination, allowing those without permissions to access the Manage Site settings URL and receive a 401 error. This has been removed to limit confusion for users who don’t have admin permissions to access that page.
Bug Fixes 🐞
Rejected Inductions were not showing in Live Attendance
If the latest version of an induction submitted by a worker was rejected, it did not display in the Activity Report or Live Attendance. This has been fixed.
Android/iOS Users were unable to upload Announcements
Some users were unable to upload PDFs/other documents to Announcements on the Mobile App due to their storage permissions on their phone's device. It has now been fixed so that it will work if the default permissions requested are enabled.
The Question Filter for Asset Field Questions was not working
The Global Asset field questions like “Date of last inspection” and “Date of next required service/maintenance” were not filtering correctly in the Form report. This has been fixed.
Users were unable to Approve SSIP and Insurance Documents
We resolved an issue for users in the UK who were unable to approve SSIP and Insurance documents with expiry dates in the web portal.
If a Users "Supplier" was updated, it was not reflected in the Induction Report
We resolved an issue where induction documents for users who had their supplier manually updated were not being reflected in Procore Documents. The fix also ensures a copy of the induction is saved in the relevant Procore Supplier folder when the Supplier field is changed in the User Directory.
The keyboard was getting in the way of the User Directory search bar
During evacuations, when using the User Directory to manually add users, the search bar was taking up the entire screen and covering the search results. This has been fixed.
Face ID UK | Access Control is now compatible with RAMs and Site Briefings
We resolved an issue where Biostar users could check in via Face ID even if they hadn't signed onto new RAMs or Site Briefings. Face ID access will now be refused until these documents are signed via the app.
Face ID Mini Unit | Entry and Exit Logic
Improved the logic for the Suprema Face ID Mini Unit to accurately reflect check-in and check-out actions in the 1BC activity log. Each check-in and check-out will now be recorded as a separate activity, ensuring accurate live attendance data for emergencies.
Blank screen shows after scanning the QR Code
We have addressed the issue where a blank black screen shows after initially scanning the QR code. The app will now display a "bouncey ball" loading state for a better user experience.
