1Breadcrumb + Procore Sync Troubleshooting

Through the use of API (Application Programming Interface) Procore & 1Breadcrumb can talk to each other and share information.

But to make this sync of information happens automatically, certain information needs to be entered into each other to trigger the sync.

This troubleshooting guide is to help you make sure these triggers are right so that Procore and 1Breadcrumb can chat and share their information smoothly.

Keep in mind that Procore and 1Breadcrumb will automatically sync every 1 to 2 hours. If a new Project or Supplier has been added to Procore recently, there's a chance it might not have been included in the most recent synchronisation, but it will be included in the next one.

If Suppliers are not syncing from Procore into 1Breadcrumb:

Suppliers Troubleshooting Check: Check that the Suppliers ABN or License Number has been inputted into Procore 👷

  1. Log in to your Procore account.
  2. Navigate to “Company Tools” and click on “Directory”.
  3. Choose the “Companies” tab at the top, next to options like “Users” and “Contacts”.
  4. Using the search bar, type the company name you're looking for, once found, click 'Edit.'
  5. Scroll down to the section labelled 'Entity Type' and enter the companies ABN details if the company is Australian, or enter their Licence Number if applicable.
  6. Click ‘Update’ upon making any changes to the Directory Settings.

If Projects are not syncing from Procore into 1Breadcrumb:

Projects Troubleshooting Check 1: Check that you have "Import Projects" enabled on the integration in 1Breadcrumb 🚦

  1. Log into your 1Breadcrumb account.
  2. Navigate to the company configuration settings by clicking on [Your Name / Company] located in the top right hand corner within the orange header.
  3. Select ‘Integration’ from the drop down menu.
  4. Make sure you're on the 'Procore Integration' tab.
  5. In the top left hand corner, click the red “Enable Edit” button.
  6. A warning pop-up window will appear, click “Continue”.
  7. Find the "Import Projects" function and confirm that the toggle is enabled. If this toggle is set to “Inactive”, turn the toggle to “Active” then click the red “Save Changes” button in the top left hand corner.

Projects Troubleshooting Check 2: Check that the Procore project has been given permission to integrate with 1Breadcrumb 👍

  1. Log in to your Procore account.
  2. Navigate to the Procore app store by clicking ‘Select and App’ located in the top right hand corner of the header, then click ‘App Management’ from the dropdown menu.
  3. Find the 1Breadcrumb app from the App Management list of installed apps, then click ‘View’.

  4. Within the 'Permissions' tab, verify whether the project that is not syncing with 1Breadcrumb is listed under 'Permitted Projects.' If it is not present in this list, locate the project using the dropdown menu and then select 'Add' to grant permissions for the 1Breadcrumb integration.

Projects Troubleshooting Check 3: Check the Project Settings 👀

  1. Log in to your Procore account.
  2. Select the Project that is not syncing with 1Breadcrumb
  3. Navigate to the 'Project Tools' dropdown list located in the header.
  4. Select ‘Admin’ from the dropdown menu.

  5. To make sure your Projects can sync with 1Breadcrumb, you need to input specific project details into the Project Settings in Procore. Verify the following details have been entered accurately:
    1. Name (Project Name is entered)
    2. Active (Toggle is turned on)
    3. Estimated Value (Value is entered)
    4. Stage (‘Course of Construction’ is selected from the dropdown menu)
    5. Project Number/ID (This must be a unique Project Number/ID and not the same as another project).
    6. Project Location (Address is entered)
    7. Completion Date (Make sure it's a future date, not in the past).

6.   Click ‘Update’ upon making any changes to the Project Settings.
