How to set up a site briefing?

Using the site briefing tool, set up pre-starts or Toolboxes that your workers can view and sign off onsite.

Communicate important site-specific information to your workers onsite using the Site Briefings tool. The tool digitises, records and supports (not replaces!) daily morning meetings onsite.

How to set up a site briefing (administrator)

Although Site Briefings are found in the Forms tool, and are set up similarly, however they function differently to our other forms. 

  1. Go to Editor > Forms
  • Name is the internal name for it that will be viewable in the report section.
    • For example: Prestart - 404 Safety St (Version 1)
  • Button Title is the title that your site managers will see in the app
    • For example: Prestart)
  • Scope is whether you want the site briefing to be applied to all sites automatically or specific sites
    • Company Wide means that this template will be applied to all sites
    • Site Specific means that you will need to manually add it to specific sites through Sites >Site Settings > Site Briefings
  • Sign-off is if you require workers to sign off on it prior to check in 
    • Optional means that workers can choose to sign off on it
    • Mandatory means that workers will need to sign off on the site briefing during check in or check out

How to submit a site briefing (site manager)

Once a template has been set up in the forms editor and applied to your site, you will be able to view it in the Host panel on the app.

Select the button and click 'Submit a new version'.

Common questions

Why doesn't my site briefing show up on the Host Panel?

If you selected 'Site Specific, please check that you have added it to the site through Sites >Site Settings > Site Briefings > Add.

Why doesn't my site briefing show up for my site workers

When a site host submits a site briefing, at the bottom, there is a 'Valid until' setting that will expire the site briefing after a day.

  • Check if there's a valid version in the portal Reports > Site Briefings. Under the 'Status' column, there should be an 'Active' version. 

Why doesn't my site briefing show up for my site workers on the app but it does for the workers using the webapp?

Please check that they have the latest app version installed from the app store.
