Remove Announcement from All Active Sites and Delete or Archive an Announcement

If an Announcement is no longer in use or was created accidently, this article offers guidance on how to remove Announcements from all active sites and provides instructions on how to delete or archive an Announcement.

1. Navigate to the 'Editor' tool located on the left-hand toolbar of your 1Breadcrumb portal. Select ‘Announcements’ from the dropdown menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Scroll down the active Announcements register to find the Announcement you wish to remove from active sites, delete or archive. 
   1. To Remove Announcement from All Active Sites:
      1. Once located the Announcement, in the far right column of the active Announcement register, click the red rubbish bin icon to delete the Announcement from all active sites. In the pop-up window, confirm your decision by clicking the green "Yes" button.
         
         

         

   2. To Delete or Archive an Announcement: Deletion or archiving of Announcements is only possible for those that have already been removed from all active sites. If an Announcement is still associated with a site, please refer to the steps outlined in 3a of this article.
      1. Once located the Announcement, in the far right column of the active Announcement register, click the red hollow rubbish bin icon to delete the Announcement. In the pop-up window, confirm your decision by clicking the green "Yes" button. Note: only Announcements that have never been viewed can be deleted. If it has been viewed previously, it will prompt you to archive the Announcement instead. You can access all archived announcements by changing the Announcement Register Display Mode Toggle from "Active" to "Inactive."
