Roles and permissions in 1Breadcrumb

To do this, you need to define what roles you want in Company Settings.

Step 1

Select Company Settings in the top right navigation panel. 

Select Permissions Settings then Role Definition

 

Step 2

Enter the name of the role you want to implement (eg: HSEQ Manager, Project Coordinator, Contract Administrator) then click to add the role to the list.

 

Step 3

Define what permissions each role has by using the green permission settings button located in the specific row.

Once you select which permissions you'd like the role to have, click Update Permissions to save it.

 

Permission Modes in 1Breadcrumb

There are 3 Permission Role types. You should not need to edit this and the default should be Mixed (Roles and Individual User Permissions). 

  • Individual User Roles Only - Each user will have a different set of permission and Roles is not active. 
  • Roles Only - Roles will be active and any individual permissions (including the person changing the setting) will be removed. Please make sure that you have assigned yourself a role first if you choose this setting. 
  • Mixed (Roles and Individual User Permissions) - This means you will be able to give both Roles and individual user permissions.
