A guide for applying for a Permit using the mobile app when checked in on-site.
In 1Breadcrumb, the responsibility of applying for a Permit sits with the contractor/worker, who submits a form for the Site Manager to review and approve before work commences. This guide will teach you how to apply for a Permit when on-site.
Note: You can apply for a Permit when on-site using the Mobile App, or prior to coming to site via the Supplier Onboarding Link.

Requirements 🔑
Checked-In: To apply for a Permit, you must be checked into the Site you aren't wanting to apply for a Permit on.
Settings: If the Permit tile is not showing on your device, then the Principal Contractor has not enabled Permits for your site.
Web Portal Instructions 💻
Step 1: Open the Supplier Onboarding Link
- Start by opening the Onboarding Link sent to you by the Principal Contractor
- From here, click over to the Permits tab
- Click on the + Apply for a New Permit button and select a Permit Form
Step 2: Complete the Permit Form
- Complete the Mandatory fields in the Permit Form, including:
- Submit for: Identify whether you are applying for this Permit for just yourself, or on behalf of your company.
- Permit Period: Identify how long you want this Permit to be active.
- According to Schedule: Identify at what specific time of day you want to be able to use this Permit.
- Once you have filled out all required fields, click Submit
Mobile App Instructions 📱
Step 1: Open the Permit Tile and Select a Permit Form
- Start by making sure you are currently checked into a Site
- Next, click on the Permit tile
- From here, select Apply for a New Permit and select a Permit Form
Step 2: Complete the Permit Form
- Complete the Mandatory fields in the Permit Form, including:
- Submit for: Identify whether you are applying for this Permit for just yourself, or on behalf of your company.
- Permit Period: Identify how long you want this Permit to be active.
- According to Schedule: Identify at what specific time of day you want to be able to use this Permit.
- Once you have filled out all required fields, click Submit
You can now successfully apply for a Permit. It's important to note that the Permit still requires a review and approval from the Site Manager prior to you being able to commence work. You will be notified in the 1Breadcrumb app if your Permit has been reviewed.
