Add an Announcement to a Form/Induction

A guide for adding an Announcement you have already created with an Induction or a Form.


Announcements are used to share different types of media such as PDFs, Videos, Audio, Images, Text and more with your workers. Once you've created an Announcement, you can share it with a specific Site, or attach it to a Form or Induction. This article will show you how to attach it to a Form or an Induction.

Requirements ❗

Permissions: Company Host Permissions required. If you do not have permission, please contact your 1Breadcrumb administrator.

Web Portal Steps 💻

Step 1: Navigate to the Inductions Tool

  • Click on the 'Editor' menu located on the left-hand toolbar.
  • Select ‘Inductions’ from the dropdown menu (if changing a Form, select 'Forms').
  • Find an Induction and click on the orange 'Edit' icon.

  • In the Induction Editor, click on the green "+ Add Announcement" button.
  • In the pop-up window, you can find the Announcement you want to include.
  • Specify which Force View Mode Settings you would like from the below options:
    • Disable: Recipients can open and view the announcement at their discretion.
    • Mandatory View: Recipients are obligated to open and view the announcement.
    • Mandatory View and Sign Off: Recipients must view and acknowledge the announcement.
    • Set Play Through To Mandatory: Recipients cannot fast forward or skip the video.
    1. Once selected, click the blue “+” button to include it into the Induction content. 
    2. From here, you can drag the Announcement to the desired location in the Form.

    • Once complete, click ‘Update’ to finalise your settings.

    Your announcement will now be live and shared with your selected Induction or Form.
